Facebook

Isn't it great to have young people around to keep you up on the latest trends. One of the current trends I have been enjoying lately is our family on facebook. If you want to know what is going on in your adult children's lives they will tell you regularly on facebook - usually in 7 words or less.

For those of you who still haven't created your facebook account I will let you in on what I have learned lately : )

Cali really hates her dad, but she hates school more she said:
"Kali Potter is sick of lame SCHOOL And wants to move back home" of course that was yesterday.

Brandi is busy doing lots of "mom" stuff.

Susan's dog was run over by a cement truck - but he is okay.

Anna is "In a Relationship with Spencer Lassetter" and she stole his lime chips.

Garth and Ashley lost all the food in their fridge and Ashley is sad she can't eat chinese food for awhile (no doubt due to the expected baby!)

I could go on but... if you don't have a facebook account yet maybe you can take a minute to sign up and then you can read all about our family's daily adventures.

facebook will even keep you up on all the birthdays - so you too can wish your cousins, neices, nephews, brothers, sisters, etc., a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY via the internet!

Kyla Surgery Update

Kyla has finally had surgery on her eye and everything went great!

There was some concern about the health of the retina because they could not see it, but it is healthy and functioning fine. The day of the surgery she slept a lot because of the drugs. The day after the surgery she was looking around at everything with a smile of shear joy as she saw the new world around her. She was especially interested in her hand as she rotated it from side to side grinning from ear to ear. She had only been turning her head to the left to look around at things but now she is looking steadily to the right and her face lights up with the wonder of it all.

She has to have two kinds of eye drops 4 times each day. A steroid for inflammation and an antibiotic for infection. When that is finished she will be fitted for a contact lens since her intra lens had to be removed completely. When her eye stops growing at around age 12 she will have a permanent lens implanted. Good thing Brandi is already an expert with contact lenses.

Thank you all for you love and support, and for your payers and fasting in her behalf. I can't begin to put into words the pure joy it is in my heart to know that even though distance separates us that at any given moment in time we can be close and united in purpose! I truly love each of you.

WELCOME

This is THE place for those of you who do not want to take the time to set up your own blog. Now you can still contribute occasionally (as frequently as you would like but hopefully not less than once every couple of months!)

As for the rest of us - those who have set up blogs that are regularly updated ; ) Just look for our links in the side bar to the right. As I receive word of new blogs created by family members I will add them to the side bar list.

I will remind everyone, occasionally, to check for updates and to add their own posts and photos.

LOVE and miss you ALL

Tami

PS - a link to old posts (created on the previous family blog are still available - just click on "old family blog" listed on right.
